Privacy Policy

When you use Nicolas, we collect the information needed to run your organisation and voting workflows: your email address, display name, organisation name, issue text, alternatives, votes, invitations, and membership records.

If you donate, payment details are handled by Stripe. Nicolas does not store your full card number.

We use your data to authenticate you, keep you in the right organisation, calculate voting results, show issue participation, send account emails, and keep the service secure and reliable.

We do not sell your personal information or use voting data for advertising.

Nicolas uses Supabase for authentication and database storage, Resend for account email delivery, Vercel for hosting and basic web analytics, Sentry for error monitoring, and Stripe for donations.

These providers process data only so Nicolas can provide the service, diagnose problems, and protect the app.

Nicolas uses essential cookies or similar browser storage to keep you signed in and protect authenticated pages. These are necessary for the app to work.

We do not use advertising cookies.

You can update your display name and organisation name in Settings. You can also ask us to delete your account or organisation data, subject to reasonable security and backup constraints.

If you receive an invitation you did not expect, you can ignore it. Joining an organisation requires signing in with your email address.

We use row-level security, authenticated sessions, and limited-access service providers to protect organisation data. No internet service can promise perfect security, but we work to keep access scoped and auditable.

We keep account, organisation, and voting records for as long as needed to provide Nicolas, comply with obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain backups.
